Room, 1880 Pratt Drive Suite 2018, Blacksburg, VA Time: 6-8:30pm Topic: Retrospectives - Taking the Time to Improve Speaker: Tracy D'Souza & Dr. David Gray The session will cover: Activity illustrating the value of retrospectives An overview of the stages of a retrospective When to do certain retrospectives (sprint, release, project, program) Provide resources and activities to set the stage for an open, collaborative retrospective culminating with measurable action items Biography: Tracy D'Souza, CSM, CSPO, Certified LeSS Practitioner, ICP-ATF, ICP-ACC, is the Agile Mentor at Excella's Extension Center in Blacksburg. Through Excella's award-winning internship program, students gain hands-on experience and expand their skillsets under the mentorship of Excella’s technologists. Tracy has led scaled multi-product data science, microservice, and web-based teams, customizing Agile frameworks for improved delivery and high performing team culture. David Gray, Ph.D. has worked in Engineering Research and Development in the New River Valley for the past ten years. Through positions as Senior engineering and Director of R&D, David has extensive experience in project proposal, initiation, management, and close-out. Dr. Gray is currently working as an instructor with the Engineering Education department at Virginia Tech, and provides engineering leadership consulting to middle-management employees.
