Jeffrey White -

Jeffrey describes himself as an accidental project manager, having spent more than ten years leading programs and coordinating initiatives across higher education, nonprofits, and operations. He currently supports process improvement efforts in the Registrar’s Office at Hollins University while continuing to expand his interest in customer success and systems-oriented work in SaaS. At Hollins, Jeffrey spent nearly four years directing career programming, where he became deeply involved in workforce development initiatives across the Roanoke region. Before moving to Roanoke in 2021, he led the Learning Commons at the University of Portland and taught courses in German, applied linguistics, and intercultural development. His broader professional background includes teaching preschool, directing two nonprofits—Alliance for Community Traffic Safety in Oregon and the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council in Oxford, Mississippi—and working in consultative sales, customer service, operations, retail, and commercial printing. Jeffrey’s interest in PMI grew from the practical demands of planning and coordinating projects across diverse roles and organizations. His study of visual management systems through the Modus Institute in Seattle further shaped his interest in process design and continuous improvement in support of PMI Southwest Virginia. He holds master’s degrees in education and German and earned a BA in German and philosophy from The Ohio State University.
