PMI-SWVA Chapter Meeting - Top Down and Bottom Up: The Art and Science of Project Budgets
Budgeting for project success can often be a daunting endeavor, wrought with many unknowns and typically stretched thin by optimistic goals to operate ‘lean and mean’ while still delivering exceptional quality. Join us for our February chapter meeting where Cassandra Nolan, PMO Manager for Member One FCU, will lead an interactive budgeting exercise and provide key takeaways and tools to help you navigate these common challenges.
Learning Objectives:
- Top Down vs. Bottom Up budgeting techniques – When to use them and how they compliment each other.
- Budgeting for contingency – Different techniques to cover your assets.
- Striking the right balance – How to satisfy executives, clients, and project team members.
- One size doesn’t fit all – Which contract structure is right for your project.
- Staying on track – You’ve built a beautiful budget! Now what? Tools to help you track project costs.
This will be a hybrid event. Join us in person at the VT CRC or online via MS Teams. A Teams link will be provided after registration.
