Chapter Meeting: Talent Attraction as a Tool to Foster Economic Development in the Roanoke Region
We will discuss one of Roanoke's economic development strategies that seeks to attract and retain talent in the region. Get2KnowNoke helps explore all opportunities to work, live, and play in the cities of Covington, Roanoke, and Salem, the counties of Alleghany, Botetourt, Franklin, and Roanoke, and the town of Vinton.
The Roanoke Regional Partnership’s Get2KnowNoke was developed to be a guide. When you are searching for employment, you often are also considering a new home or lifestyle. In the modern era, when most people can choose to work anywhere, which is why factors like bike-ability, quality of life, outdoor amenities, commute times, schools and daycare, and cost of living are SO important.
The Roanoke Region of Virginia has been recognized nationally as “Best Mountain Town”, “Best Place to Live”, and “Top Adventure Towns” (and countless others) because we prioritize the right things. We put our effort into making the place we call home an easy and affordable place to live filled with great food, beer, arts, culture, music, trails, bike lanes, opportunity, and fantastic people.
