PMI-SWVA enters this year with momentum. Thanks to the leadership and dedication of those who have served before us, we are well-positioned to continue delivering meaningful value to our members while strengthening our role as a professional community throughout Southwest Virginia.
Building on Our Momentum
Over the past several years, the chapter has experienced steady growth in membership, programming, and volunteer engagement. Under the leadership of our 2025 President, Megan Adkins, and the Board of Directors, PMI-SWVA continued to evolve in thoughtful and intentional ways. That progress has set the stage for 2026 to be a year of continued excellence, sustainability, and collaboration.
My focus this year is not on reinventing what already works, but on strengthening it, refining it, and ensuring it continues to serve our members well.
Our Focus for 2026
In 2026, we will focus on three key areas:
Member Engagement and Value Delivering high-quality programs, meaningful networking opportunities, and practical professional development that meet our members where they are.
Strong Governance and Sustainability Maintaining clear processes, sound financial stewardship, and consistent operations to ensure the long-term health and success of the chapter.
Leadership Development and Inclusion Supporting current and future chapter leaders while fostering an inclusive environment where members feel encouraged to participate, contribute, and grow.
