When do you use Agile, Waterfall, or a hybrid approach (agile-fall, water-agile, water-agile-fall)? It’s hard to know where to go for this answer. Agile zealots will say every project should be done using agile. The “I got my PMP 10 years ago and I haven’t had a problem yet” crowd will tell you that agile is a fad and it is a waste of time. This month’s presentation will dissect agile into four dimensions: project team management, planning methodology, stakeholder engagement, and scope management. We’ll then discuss the case for and against using agile depending on the unique needs of the project and when a hybrid approach may be the best case. Finally, we will review KPIs to avoid when using agile or a hybrid approach.
