Letter from our President regarding COVID-19
Dear PMI Southwest Virginia Chapter Member/Supporter,
Your safety and welfare as members, volunteers, and partners of our PMI Southwest Virginia Chapter is our #1 priority. In response to Governor Ralph S. Northam’s state of emergency and the guidance of State Health Commissioner M. Norman Oliver, MD, MA, we are taking precautionary action to increase social distancing in the effort to slow the spread of the coronavirus.
Through April 30, 2020, we are canceling all programs (including the April 14 chapter meeting) in accordance with public health guidance. Our Board of Officers will continue to monitor the situation and make additional adjustments as needed. We request your patience as we update the PMI Southwest Virginia Chapter calendar and share information with those who have registered for upcoming events. Please watch your email for these announcements.
We are working to update our website to keep you informed. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during this unprecedented time as we look to engage with you in new ways. We have an incredibly strong and collaborative project management community in Southwest Virginia, and we will continue to grow as citizens as we evaluate our existing program plans and processes.
Best Regards,
Emily Cohen, PMP, PMI-ACP
PMI Southwest Virginia President
