February 2017 Chapter Meeting

General

We had a great turn out at our first chapter meeting of 2017.  Megan Degan and Emily Wayman presented to nearly 50 PMI chapter members and guests with an overview of the process and philosophy they use at Modea, a  Lean-Agile company in Blacksburg, VA.  They discussed the Product Development Life Cycle, defined their Lean-Agile process, discussed the sprint/agile approach they take at Modea, and how they use lean management tools such as Kanban to drive productivity and specificity throughout the project lifecycle.

Emily and Megan took questions throughout the presentation as they walked us through the history of Modea, their current process, and how they measure accountability and success. Please see below for their presentation.  We hope you find this a valuable resource.   For those interested in furthering their Agile education and credentials, please check out the  PMI-ACP Exam Prep Class being offered on  May 5 .

Also,  save the date for this year's Symposium,  October 20  at Roanoke College . This annual event is something you won't want to miss... and NEW this year we will be offering a discount for Chapter meeting attendees.  If you attend four or more chapter meetings between March and October, you will receive a $10 discount to the Symposium.

2017 is shaping up to be an exciting year so we hope you will come out to all of these great programs!
